In middle sex, the main character is quite queer. In this book there is incest, transgender, and a whole lot of other crazy stuff. Queer theory matches with this book perfectly. Basically, middle sex is the definition of queer theory. Because of how abstract this book is, many people used to look down on it and thought is was inappropriate for people to read because of its abstract plot.

In the Master of Two Worlds, the hero finds a balance between the place he adventured through and his original home. This happens in most monomyths. The hero finds an equilibrium between the new world and the old world. By doing this he finds peace .

An awesome example of this is the movie Spiderman. Peter Parker tries to push himself to choose between being Spiderman or a normal adult. Once faced with the choice he finds that he can have both and just create a balance between the two. As of today Spiderman is still doing his job and Peter Parker is a successful man living in New York City.

There’s no better feeling than feeling at home. The smell is just right and the water at the perfect temperature. You know how it is. I am always so excited to come home from school or any vacation.

Crossing the return threshold is a very meaningful moment in any story. It is when the hero can finally relax and be home. The hero is not only home, he is also content his decision. It is very important that the hero accepts his place that he stays. If he wasn’t happy then the story couldn’t be close to finishing, right?

Whenever I’m home I am constantly smiling. I always get so excited when I’m like 10 minutes away coming from school. Oh boy, it just makes me sooo happy!

I thought I was safe,

I thought the smoke cleared.

Boy was I wrong,

And the face of death appeared.

Thankfully I was shielded once again.

Thankfully I was covered by a friend.

I knew I was safe.

This is close, but it’s not the end.

The rescue without is when the hero might encounter a near death experience on his way back to his homeland. This kind of reminds me of the movie, The Rock. I’m sure there are many more examples of this kind of scene, but this is the only one I can think of right now.

At the end of the movie The Rock, Nicolas Cage completed his quest of saving the world and started his journey back home. He was faced with another hard task. There was a time limit on how long it took him complete the next obstacle. I think this scene was a great example of the rescue without.

The hero survived. You just said the volleyball the familiar, but I already knew that. So the hero survived on an abandoned for 1500 days. He built a shelter, he found food, and he was ready to leave. The hero built a raft that would help him return home. He bonded wit this new place, but he knew he had to come home. On his return home, the hero was still constantly faced with danger’s and losses. He had to choose between his life, and his friend. When spending 1500 days with the same friend, I assume it would be quite a difficult choice between living alone, or going down with your friend.

Good things must end, and sometimes they end real shitty. We had a great run the past year. I smiled , I laughed, and I lost. We journeyed far and long. I will never regret it, but I will always remember it.

I experienced open mindedness and freedom. I lived with out a job, and broke down the wall to a new world. I had a mentor that showed me the way. I saw the inside jobs and looked through the cracks. I was there for what my life could be.

I didn’t notice it until, it was too late. My guide started change, but I neglected his actions and I ignored his health. I wanted to help me like he helped me. I didn’t know how to tell him, it’s not like it was harming me. Being too scared to speak, I let his habit grow.

Not much later, everything fell apart. I was there when his family was threatened. I was there when the softly spoken terms became headline news. Watching a family being terrified to live in their own home, I noticed something.

The miracle of family began to show. They helped their son, and stood like a mountain. Weeks passed before a smile broke through the sorrow.

The Sun’s still bright, but it shined so long ago. I know things will never be the same, and our friendship will grey. It’s just different now.

I’m living the effects of the past and don’t know what’s coming next.

That new place was warm,

but it’s not quite home.

Coming back, the tension exceeded the norm.

Windows broken and secretes were known.

Time will release the pills.

Slowly breaking,

They will begin to fill,

The holes they’ve been creating.

Home will never be home,

The closest place shown is a telephone.
