Letter 2

Dear Marlen,

Sure, I learned many things in your class, but more important your class made me something.  I became motivated, determined, and strong.  I became a thinker.  I became an adult.  As I am sure you noticed in class, I am quite a shy person.  I’ve had trouble expressing my feelings and opinions about anything.

Now, looking back to the beginning of the semester, I feel like a changed person.  I am glad I had the chance to listen to your past and your knowledge.  I came to your class confused and lost.  Now, I am leaving your class with the ability to be open-minded and live life looking up.
